So much is going on right now in the world and more than ever you need tools to help you relax! Just like so many of us, you need tools like yoga for relaxation to help you keep up and remain balanced.
Stress has always been a huge issue for many, but more so during these challenging times. And often you don’t even realise how stressed you are until you hit crash and burn.
I know that was the case for me. I didn’t realise how stressed I was until I hit adrenal exhaustion and had no other option but to STOP. I was too exhausted to do anything else.
It was a huge wake up call and so incredibly challenging to sit and do nothing. I soon discovered that I had a negatively held belief that if you are doing nothing you are being lazy! Which led me to feeling guilty.
Wow what a revelation. I had no idea that I had this belief until all of this happened. It was a powerful moment. And I realised that I didn’t have to push myself to exhaustion to finish every single thing on my to do list in 1 day!
So now I listen. I take time to relax and rest. I don’t get through everything on my to do list in one day. And it’s OK!
Yoga is a great tool that I use to help me relax, unwind and let go. And using yoga for relaxation is so easy!
Taking time to connect with your body and breath is powerful. And yoga is fantastic in helping you “learn” to relax and train yourself to do just that.
Learn is the key word here. Often you have to unlearn negative patterns and programs that your body and mind are so conditioned to remaining stuck in. That you literally have forgotten how to relax.
So when you try to relax, it can be so incredibly hard. Often times causing more stress because you just can’t seem to let go.
So you need to re-train your body, mind and emotions to let go and relax. Getting yourself used to the surrending and going within. Letting the busy mind go, and reconneting back to yourself again.
Yoga is a great place to start.
