If you are learning meditation then it’s really important to find the best meditation position for beginners that will really work for you.
There is nothing like sitting in the perfect position for meditation where you are able to just let go. You feel comfortable, cozy and balanced. Where you are able to focus your mind easily and move into a deep space of meditation.
When you are not sitting right you will feel agitated and may experience pain. Then your mind will keep distracting you over and over again to how you are feeling. Pulling you away from moving into deep meditation.
This is especially true when you are a beginner. It can be challenging to quieten your mind in the early stages of learning meditation. Your mind will try and distract you anyway that it can. If you are uncomfortable or in any pain, your mind will focus on that. It will do anything it can to get you to stop meditating.
So learning the best meditation positions for beginners is really important to help you make the process of learning meditation a whole lot easier.
In this video I take you through a number of different meditation positions to help you get started. Right at the basics and some other options as well.

It’s really important to play around with different positions and find the one that works well for you. Don’t be afraid to use props and anything you have at home already lying around to help you sit comfortably.
Also remember to keep your spine straight to help the energy flow freely in your body as you meditate. This also helps you stay alert and awake during your meditation.
